BLACK FOREST COFFEE CAKE

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 T. vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • one 21 oz. can cherry pie filling
  1. Beat eggs, add sugar, shortening, milk, vanilla.
  2. Then add flour, baking powder.
  3. When well mixed add chocolate chips.
  4. Pour into a large greased baking pan.
  5. Drop cherry pie fill by tsp. in even rows into batter.

 

Topping:

  • 1 cup bisquick,
  • 1/2 cup sugar,
  • 1/4 cup butter or oleo,
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips for garnish.
  1. Blend with a pastry blender to form loose crumbs.
  2. Sprinkle over top of cake, garnish with chocolate chips.
  3. Bake at 375 for 50 minutes to 1 hour until golden brown.
